“But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.” Jeremiah 29:7
IN OUR CITY
District Alternative Education Program (DAEP) – In 2012, The Parks Church adopted the MISD disciplinary campus as a community partner. We serve the school through weekly mentoring, regular facility upkeep, and by acting as the “PTA” to serve/appreciate the staff monthly.
HOPE Women’s Center – We support our local pregnancy care center as they serve our city’s women, families, and unborn children.
Community Meal & Grocery Ministry – In 2013, The Parks Church began serving the city’s first regularly occurring warm meal to the homeless and food insecure of McKinney. This is led by a team of Parks Church volunteers preparing and serving the weekly meal at The Salvation Army.
Illumin8 – We support this local ministry dedicated to reaching at-risk kids in McKinney’s lower-income housing.
The Hope Clinic – In response to the overwhelming need for accessible health care in the city, in 2017 we launched a free and charitable health clinic. Beyond providing physical healthcare, our hope is that patients would be cared for spiritually as the gospel is shared and applied.
